![]() This is a great restaurant, from the warm ambiance of fireplace and peach-basket covered lamps, to the professional service of the waitresss staff, to the bountiful salad bar. My wife and I rediscovered the Log Cabin after not being in the area for quite awhile. (won't keep us from returning, but a note) More Not sure this could be fixed but another bathroom would have been nice! The bathroom also needed some updating with notes all around for what NOT to do. So I waited to use the restroom for about 10 minutes. One last random comment - there is only 1 restroom for men and 1 for women. I can't recall the waitress's name but she was very attentive. I'd love to try the crab topped filet! The Log Cabin didn't disappoint - definitely a nice place for a special meal. My friend who had the crabcakes just said she'd try something different. We all agreed that we would like to return again. Lastly, we finished the meal with coffee and my husband got the chocolate creme brulee which he enjoyed. We all got to try the crab and he ate till he was stuffed, and still had leftovers! It was a huge portion but approximately $80. My other friend ordered the King crab leg special - you could get two different sizes & he chose the larger portion (can't recall the ounces) but he got two HUGE crab legs, also served with warm butter. For the $30+ price, she was hoping to be wowed. My friend ordered the much recommended broiled crabcakes which she said were good but not the best she had ever had. He did add a little salt and shared a bite with me - it was very flavorful. He said it was cooked perfectly and had a nice char on it. My husband (beef eater) got the delmonico. The shrimp were served in butter and were good but nothing spectacular - not seasoned or anything. I was brought a small candle/warmer with melted butter which was a nice touch! The lobster tail and crab meat were divine. My entree was the broiled seafood platter - shrimp, crab imperial, and a lobster tail. We all enjoyed the salads.įor our main dishes, as I mentioned they all came with baked potato (nothing to say about that) and broccoli casserole, which was served in an individual baking dish. The plates were on the smaller side which made cutting up the salad a little tricky without making a mess. The salad bar was small but good with a couple of unique items like roasted tomatoes. It was good nothing amazing but good.Ī warm loaf of bread was brought to the table and we were told that there was a salad bar for us to fix our salads. ![]() We were told of the specials - prime rib, king crab, and clam chowder. My friend and I ordered martinis that were delicious. When ordering drinks, I was a little bummed they didn't have sangria, but they did offer beer, wine, and a martini menu. It's warm and cozy, the host was welcoming, and it had pretty Christmas trees and dim lighting. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised by the restaurant's decor. ![]() I assumed this was just for the special night, and not the norm. I was told also on the phone that all meals would come with salad, bread, baked potato and broccoli casserole. I hadn't experienced that before, but I understood. It was explained that as long as I give them enough notice to fill the spot if I canceled, I wouldn't be charged. I made our reservation a few days in advance & was asked to give a credit card number to hold it. ![]() Thankfully, I remembered this place! I had never been, but it had been recommended to me. We first tried "Old Town Steak & Seafood" but they only had late reservations available. We were looking for someplace special for New Year's Eve dinner with another couple. We will definitely conside the Log Cabin in our dining plans of the future. The appetizer and main course were great! Danielle did incredibly well. Overall, it was a very pleasant dining experience. Our filet mignon was perfectly cooked with a slight touch of pink in the middle. The two lobster tails were perfectly cooked and were delicious! The small holder of heated buter compliment the lobster very well. Delicious! Our mai course followed soon there after. The meal cam with freshly baked bread, garden salad and one choice of a side. My wife and I both selected the Surf and Turf. The window seat was nice, though the shade was puled low, we did not want to look outside.ĭanielle, our server, was warm, friendly and attentive throughout our meal. We were seated within 5-7 minutes of our arrival. Pleasant music was playing in the background. This year, we selected the Log Cabin in Stafford, Virginia to dine in. Chinese Restaurants for Lunch in StaffordĮvery year, my wife and I go to dinner to celebrate the Marine Corps Birthday. ![]()
